At 24, back in 2004, my mentor and friend—a programmer by trade—introduced me to the incredible potential of the internet, sparking a fascination that shaped my future. Three years later, I unexpectedly found myself in real estate but quickly realized it was the perfect arena to channel my tech-driven curiosity. By 2008, I had launched my first real estate website, 2008-super-bowl-rentals.com, borrowing $600 from a good friend to market it. That experience gave me my first real glimpse into how technology and real estate could intersect to create unique opportunities.
Over the next 18 years, I navigated market crashes, built rental portfolios, and refined off-market strategies, all the while dreaming of creating a fairer, simpler way to help homeowners. That vision became 48Acquisitions—a tech-powered platform, led by experienced cash investors, designed to connect property owners with a trusted network (including us) to ensure they get the best possible outcome when selling off-market.
I grew up around Cleveland, Ohio, raised by a single mother, bouncing between seven different schools before deciding I needed a change. In November 1999, I packed up and moved to Arizona, enrolling at Scottsdale Community College and later Arizona State University. Around 2003, I bought my first HP laptop, fully convinced I was on the fast track to becoming an eBay millionaire 🤣, and quickly rediscovered the typing skills I learned in fifth grade. That experience ignited my lifelong passion for technology.
In 2007, I stumbled into real estate as someone’s assistant but quickly realized I loved the business—especially the opportunity to leverage technology to simplify processes. Since then, I’ve worn many hats: briefly as an agent, as an investor building rental portfolios, and as a renovator transforming properties across multiple markets (often with my laptop close by). These experiences ultimately shaped my vision for 48Acquisitions: combining speed, simplicity, and a technology-driven approach to real estate investing.
When I’m not immersed in real estate or tech, you’ll usually find me outdoors—hiking, mountain biking, dirt bike riding, walking my dogs, or relaxing at the beach. I currently live in Scottsdale with my girlfriend and our two dogs, constantly challenging myself through exercise, yoga, and a steady stream of health and business books. Traveling, whether across the U.S. or internationally, keeps me inspired, reminding me there’s always more to explore and learn.
